Help me ...... grammatical mistakes?

Another important lesson the poet learned from her mother is the regard for her daughter as the only treasure she needs because she is like a living memory. Digging to reach our roots allows us to understand our present condition as individuals and as a society. In her mind, the poet has the picture of the typical Italian women as someone who is strong, graceful, generous, devoted to work, and surrounded by a rural reality. She feels proud to be a descendant of this Italian family. So it is not important where we are or how long we have been away; the important thing is to be Italian in our minds and in our hearts. Everywhere we are we always bring Italian culture and tradition with us. We have love for our fatherland, the courage to fight for our ideals, the concept of solidarity, the pion for sport, the pleasure of eating, and in particular, the sacred value of family; these are the things that make us italian. Being Italian means to be conscious of coming from the native country of the best poets: Dante, Leopardi, Petrarca, and of the great artists: Michelangelo, Leonardo, Giotto, but also from the native land of pasta, pizza, and pesto. The feeling of being Italian means bringing the smells of the fruit of the land into our hearts.
