How bad do conditions have to be for an English football (soccer) match to be called off?

Because currently in the North-Eat we have quite a bit of snow, it's stopped but is still lying. If you work as a steward or for a football ground in general I'd like to know as tomorrow is the big Tyne-Tees derby and I'm quite excited.
